Refashioned Tunic

I'm really in to refashioning right know. Why, you might think? Well for the first, it is easy and for the second, it is wearable immediately! So, to the tunic. It was an ordinary asymmetrical black tunic that I got bored at, I did hardly not use it anymore! 

The first thing I did was cutting of the asymmetrical pieces and make it into a long top length. 

The neckline were literally falling apart! I solved this problem with pinning black bias tape were the ordinary neckline should have been if I did not remove it. 

Taaa daa! A great top that I have been using a couple of times already, even though it now is in the washing machine. 

Dixie DIY T-shirt

I made this T-shirt from Dixie DIY in February and I wore it immediately! I really like it, however next time I will add a couple of cm because it was a bit short for me. 

It is made in a patterned jersey, and I will use it both to dressy and casual events. 

The pattern instructions were simple and Dixie had tips for sewing with knits, both over at her blog and included in the pattern. 

The T-shirt is really simple, and just take a hour or so to make. And the greatest thing of all is that it is a free pdf pattern! Just print out and start sewing!

Simplicity 2254

I made this dress from a 70's pattern from Simplicity that I bought cheap on Ebay. The fabric is some type of non stretch synthetic fabric that I bought last summer.  

 There is a ruffle on the bottom of the dress that makes it about 25 cm longer. Next time I will do it without the ruffle, because now it ends a decimeter below the knee. And because I'm short, it isn't as nice as you may think. 

 The dress is hold up by straps that you tie. Although there is elastic thread it can not be held up only by the elastic. 

Normally I am a 38, but this dress in 36 do actually fit very well. I saw that the dress without the ruffle would be a great dress! I'll do that next time. 

BurdaStyle 3/2011 #133

This is a top I made in November 2011, but never wore, therefore there is no pictures of me in it. Actually, I don't know if I'll ever wear it. I hated the model, and it was my first project sewn in a knit. 

The fabric is an amazing leopard pattern jersey. 

More pics will come when I actually wear it! (if I do)...

Socks #1

So in November I didn't live at home much, because my grandparents spend the month in Spain. 

Yarn: Järbo's Raggi
Pattern: from here
Color: 1538 (dark green, light brown, dark brown, white-beige)
Grams: 150 g

The strips became a bit un even, with one row or so, but you can't really see it.

The yarn is really comfy! Love it so much that I've already started with my second pair with the same yarn! (Also stripes, but pink and purple)

The pattern description was hard to under stand when I started the heal, but it was simple before and after it :)

I'll definitely be making more of these socks! To: my family and friends: expect a pair next christmas :)

Flowery Circle skirt

I completed my first circle skirt in the beginning of January! :)

 A self drafted Circle skirt made with this tutorial! It was a great tutorial and I will do more circle skirts!

 I didn't hem it, instead I sewed with black bias tape. 

And of course I made it in real 50's style with an elastic waistband. 

I also made the skirt high waisted, and know I'm walking around with a big belt where the waist ends. 

I really love it, and I will be using it a lot, even now when it's snow outside! And I will for sure be making more circle skirts, but next time I wan't to do one with an ordinary waistband! 

Knitted "Pompom" by DropsDesign

Yarn: Nepal by Drops (65% wool, 35% alpaca) 

Color: 0517 medium grey
Grams: 100

This is a really easy pattern because you only do garter st! The pattern is easy to follow, and the pattern the garter st do is really nice. 

My pompom is made of the rest of the medium grey (0517) and a bit of Nepal grey mix (0501). A really nice combination of colors! 

It looks a bit weird on the left side, 'cause I have my bangs there. 

Well I have been living in this hat since yesterday when I did the last of it (only a 2 day job). It's awesome! 

Well, well, one of my promised 12 garments is made, and this after 2 days! I do really look forward to the rest of this year! :)

Vintage fabric wristlet

I made this wristlet the other day with these giveaway fabrics and this tutorial from Splityarn! ÅI usedthe two flowery fabrics and a brown zipper i had at home. I really like the tutorial and absolutly LOVE the result!

Järbo Garns slippers

A couple of days ago I did a pair of slippers from Järbo! I used their own yarn called Raggi! It was easy to do and the yarn is really great to work with. Here is a link to the pattern.

I started this projekt before I went to France and I did the last five minutes of it yesterday. It was really easy but they wanted be to sew the neckline by hand, I sewed it on the machine. They did also wan me to do the hems pon the sleeves by hand, but I decided to just do some zigzag, because I'm going to fold the sleeves anyway. 

 

I did decide to start using points on everything I make, from now (going to explain it later). And thi is the points:

So, I have 3 points after one project!

And at last I just wanted to say that I recomend the fabric and the pattern, both of them were easy to work with. 

I also wanted to say what my sister sad when she saw the jersey: "Where did you buy that? I want one!"

Lovika Mittens

I did this Lovika Gloves last year! I knit them all by myself, and I used them all the days this cold winter!

They are really comfortable and warm in the winter! I really like the color as well!

White Short Dress

I did a white dress last year in school at textile class. Here it is!

I really like the dress, and I have the pattern to do one more and it feels like I really want to do it! I just have to buy fabric and have the time! Hahha!
